Luminosa Young and Rising Voices are now rehearsing on Zoom until further notice. We hope to return to the Alton Maltings later in the Spring term, subject to prevailing guidelines. Alton Maltings provides a Covid-19 secure environment and our rehearsals are fully risk assessed and consistent with government guidelines.

We are lucky to be able to work with such a committed and fantastic venue.
The Maltings team have created a Covid-19 secure environment with thorough and effective cleaning, ventilation and distancing facilities.
The Luminosa team have added in our own risk assessed procedures to create a safe and secure environment for the choirs to come together and sing once more.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Details:
Winter 2021 Dates: Starting 12th January 2021 and each week during term time until 30th March.
Time: 5.45pm to 6.40pm
Place: Alton Maltings*
Cost: £70 per term
*Due to the global pandemic rehearsals are currently taking place online via. zoom, we hope to resume rehearsing in person in the spring.
What We Offer:
The opportunity to learn new skills: vocal skills, music skills, performance skills.
A varied and fun repertoire of music aimed at developing skills while celebrating the joy of singing: songs and music you know and some you may not.
Work towards a performance each term: invite parents and friends to hear what you can do.

FAQ's:
Do I need to be able to sing?
Anyone can sing, and we will help you develop and find your voice.
Do I have to be able to read music?
No, you will be able to just enjoy making music, but we will help you to learn some basic reading skills.
Do I need to bring anything?
Bring some water (singing is thirsty work).
Can I bring a friend?
Yes—anyone aged 6 to 11 can attend.

Johnathan Upfold - Conductor
Luminosa Young Voices
We are very fortunate indeed to have the wonderful Johnathan Upfold on our team. Johnathan leads the Young Voices, in addition to accompaying Luminosa Voices and leading sectional rehearsals - a talented fellow indeed.
He currently teaches year 6 at Brockhurst Junior School, Gosport possessing a natural rapport with young people leading the choir with great enthusiasm and humour.
He brings a wealth of experience to the choir having worked as a full-time singer in the choirs of Winchester cathedral, Chester cathedral, York Minster and the BBC Radio 4 Daily Service.
